May 7, 2013 UPDATE: Hotel Alden has been renamed Sam Houston Hotel, which was the original name and had been painted on the walls of the historic building in large letters all along, visible far and wide from the Main Street Corridor and the Old Courthouse. 

The Alden signage on the SE corner of the building, which is shown in the photo below, has been replaced.
