In better new for historic preservation, the vintage Axelrad Building, on the West side of Almeda at the same intersection,  is being saved, and redeveloped into a beer garden.

Ben Milam Hotel Reduced to Pile of Rubble

Bye, bye Downtown Macy's (formerly Foley's) (updated with photos after closing)

Take a last look at Macy's in the window-less cube-like multi-level structure Downtown between Main and Travis: Store closing has been announced for the architecturally unique Main Street Corridor location.

Ben Milam RIP - Former Hotel reduced to pile of rubble to make way for urban renewal
