Papa Mio Italian Cafe opened late in 2012 in the location that was previously a mia bella trattoria. Mia Bella still has other locations around town, including two in Downtown (one on Main, one near the Toyota Center) and more in the burbs.

Brio Tuscan Grill


Brio Tuscan Grill and other new tenants at former Borders location on corner of Kirby and West Alabama	(6/2013)

BRIO Tuscan Grill takes the place of Pesce in The Center at River Oaks, where Border's Bookstore was the anchor tenant before the bookseller went bankrupt and was liquidated. As of the beginning of 2012 the prime retail space previously occupied by Borders is being remodeled for replacement stores.

Little Napoli at Bayou Place

Little Napoli Italian Cuisine is white-tablecloth casual dining establishment; it re-located from its prior location from the street-level retail space at the Binz Building on Main Street to Bayou Place in 2012.
