My mother saved a ticket that I have in a scrapbook now for admittance to the top floor of the Gulf Building. We lived near a few blocks from South street for a while and at Christmas from most anywhere in the city, we could see when it lit up on top for Christmas. That was around 1939 when I was 5 yrs. old.
